We were fine until Lanzini went off, it was then a different ball game until we were struggleing to hold on the the point at the end.

I think yesterday showed positively and negatively why you need options and depth.

Good to see Hernandez with a goal, when despite doing well, Arnautovic and Lanzini were just missing that last ball.

The fact that we had to score for the draw and felt a bit like hanging on at the end shows how paper thin we were.

2 talking points of the game

Chicharitos goal. A lose ball in the box of an attack that I thought was going to be scambled away and Chicharito gets to it first and scores. That is exactly what he can do and we should creat more of those situations and he will score more. As Moyes said he is a good player and we should keep him and supply him better. The goal was quite unexpected for me, when they scored I thought that was it we were going to lose. What a relief to level inside of a minute from their goal.

A tackle on Kouyate. Quite a nasty tackle right in front of the ref and Kouyate stayed down and the game was stopped. The player just took Kouyates legs out. I thought it could have been a yellow, but right in front of the ref and the ref did not even give a foul. I could not understand that?

It’s all style over substance with them mate. Except their interior decorating skills which have neither.

Considering how many injuries we have and how tired some of our players look, it’s time to put some pressure on G&S to bring some players in.

As usual, we’re trying to save tiny amounts by leaving purchases to the last few seconds of the transfer window.

You’d think the manager and scouts may have identified one or,two players that could help us close out the season rather than limping over the line as we normally do.

We were average at best today. For me showed how sour squad lacks depth. The first 11 looked tired from about 50 mins on. We really pack quality in CM

“Two years ago it was Chadwell Heath,”

Unfortunately we left there to go to substandard training facilities that no other club in world football with our resources would entertain

“last year it was the Director of Sports Injuries”

They did their usual trick of appointing a ‘name’ rather than the best person for the job. He was England physio 50 years ago so he must be good would be their reasoning.

They’re running us into the ground.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Bournemouth - The Official Match Thread FT 1-1
Having talked before he game about having no idea how we were going to play, I thought we looked very good for th first 25 minutes. Plenty of passing and movement, chances created, and Bournemouth created precisely nothing until the last part of th first half.

The second half was more even and I can't help thinking the midweek game took its toll on Lanzini.

I thought we'd struggle to come back from 0-1 and in the end, with Lanzini coming off and Stanislas making a difference for them, was happy with a point.

Unbeaten in 7, and moaners still moaning. Imagine what it would be like if PD was here, dragging the place down.

On a different note, everyone's complaining about squad depth, but the truth is we have loads of injuries, as usual. Two years ago it was Chadwell Heath, last year it was the Director of Sports Injuries....neither is part of today's picture. So....what is the problem, because if the players were fit we wouldn't have a bench with 3 U 20s?

We ran out of steam. Too many fixtures and injury problems are killing us. We have three games in a week starting next Saturday. Hope we can throw the youth into the cup and just hope for the best, we simply cant indulge in the luxury of a cup run with this thin a squad, we need to focus on the Palace and Brighton games.

Moyes has worked out how to play against the the top sides to g8ve us a chance of a point or more, and how to play away on the break

But, yet to see a convincing win at home all fucking season. We need better at home against shit sides to pull clear of the relegation pack.

Anyone who thinks that we were dog shit clearly knows fuck all about football.

We should've won that game. We didn't exactly have a hatful of chances but we had enough of them to win it. Arnautovic missed two great chances, in particular.

The standard of football that we played, at times, was very pleasing on the eye and that was encouraging.

Bournemouth aren't a bad side though and I'd be very surprised if they go down. They have too much quality for me to be in any real danger.

Still, how Bournemouth found themselves 1-0 up was a bit of a joke and a bitter pill to swallow. The odd thing is that, after our equaliser, it looked more like Bournemouth were going to win it despite being second best for most of the match.

Perhaps we ran out of ideas or steam or whatever but it was disappointing that we failed to get the upper hand again when we drew level. It's a real shame as we would've won that game if we'd have taken our earlier opportunities.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Bournemouth - The Official Match Thread
Sarge. I agree that within the context of a fairly shit season with dull football, today was decent. There’s a broader context though where a team with huge income is consistently struggling to win and play decent football despite having much greater resources than those we often play against. It’s that context that fuels a lot of discontent with a draw at home to an absolutely tiny football club.
